Case Management

A complex tangle of red tape sometimes confronts developers of major projects.

This potential bureaucratic maze is now being unravelled thanks to a key feature of South Australia's red tape reduction program - Case Management Services.

Rather than developers having to deal with multiple agencies on their own, they are now assigned a case manager as a single point of contact.

The framework streamlines the process of dealing with government so that compliance issues and regulatory steps are handled quickly and efficiently - no matter which agency is involved.

This innovative new approach is being applied when different agencies from local, State and Federal governments are involved, and where projects need multiple licensing, regulatory, and planning assessments.

BENEFITS OF CASE MANAGERS

A case manager is appointed for projects usually valued at more than $10 million.  The benefits include:

  • A single point of entry for all dealings with government
  • Help in mapping out all licensing and approval processes
  • Integrated and timely responses from government
  • Proactive problem solving
  • Greater transparency for project delivery
