

In 2009, Raymond Spencer returned to Australia follows 35 years of living and working in the USA, India and Europe.
Raymond is Chairman of The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), Chairman of Capgemini’s Financial Services Global Business Unit (FS GBU) and Chairman of Signostics Limited, a director of Rubicon Technology, Inc. (RBCN) a NASDAQ listed manufacturer of advanced electronic materials and a partner and member of the investment committee in three US based venture funds. Raymond brings more than thirty-five years of leadership in international business, management planning, technology, finance, organizational culture and mergers and acquisitions.
Raymond was born in Adelaide and attended law school at the University of Adelaide. He was inducted to the Chicago Area Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2003 and serves as a board member of the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
Raymond was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year 2005 for the Illinois Region. Raymond is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and he was named a Laureate in the Computerworld Honors Program, which distinguishes innovators around the world whose visionary use of information technology produces and promotes positive social change.

Kevin is a non executive Director of Calgary based Viterra Inc, a global agriculture Logistics Company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He is a member of the Audit and the Health/Safety Committee. Mr Osborn is Deputy Chairman of the Economic Development Board of South Australia and Chairman of the Adelaide Desalination Project Steering Committee.
Prior to the beginnings of his Director career Mr Osborn had a 30 year career in international financial markets where he held various global senior management positions with the USA's then 4th largest Banking Corporation, Bank One, which is now part of J.P. Morgan Chase.
At Bank One Kevin was Regional Chief Executive responsible for Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and served on the Bank's global foreign exchange committee.
He is currently a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow Professional of the Institute of Public Accountants and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors in Canada.
In July 2011 Kevin accepted an invitation to join the Board of the Port Adelaide Football Club which plays in the AFL.

Mr Grant Belchamber graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1980 with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons 1) degree. He spent several years working in the federal public service, and completed a Masters degree in Economics at the Australian National University, graduating in 1985.
Mr Belchamber's current role is as Economist and International Coordinator with the ACTU where he has worked since 1986. He supports the ACTU Secretary and President in coordinating international relations and policy issues, and provides research and analysis on domestic economic conditions and policy.
He is a member of the Australian Statistics Advisory Council and a director of a corporate superannuation fund. Mr Belchamber has been a member of the EDB since its inception and served on the Audit Committee of SASP for four years.

Dr Ian Gould, a geologist by profession has forty years experience in the minerals industry in various senior positions, mainly within the CRA/Rio Tinto Group, including as Managing Director- Australia. In 1997, he moved to Adelaide as Group Managing Director of Normandy Mining Ltd, before retiring from executive positions in 2000.
Dr Gould has served on numerous research, environmental and commercial boards, including chairing the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, Toro Energy Limited, and currently the CSIRO Mineral Resources Sector Advisory Council, the South Australian Minerals and Petroleum Expert Group and St Andrew’s Hospital.
Dr Gould was appointed Member of the Order of Australia in the Queens Birthday 2011 Honours.
Dr Gould also has current membership on the Premier’s Science and Research Council and the South Australian Resource Industry Development Board, as well as the Economic Development Board. Dr Gould commenced as Chancellor of the University of South Australia on 1 July 2008.

Mr Rob Chapman is a financial services industry specialist, appointed as Managing Director of BankSA in July 2002 and is the current Chief Executive of St George Bank.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Chapman was the Regional General Manager (WA, SA, NT) of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Born and educated in Adelaide, he spent his early career in the insurance and funds management industry. Promotions saw him move to the eastern states before returning to Adelaide and taking up an executive role in banking.
Mr Chapman is past President of Business SA and CEDA SA and is currently Chairman of the Adelaide Football Club Board.
Mr Chapman has been recognised for his consistent pursuit of excellence and outstanding contribution to South Australia with the 2005 SA Great Award for Business.

The Hon. Bob Hawke AC was Prime Minister of Australia from 1983 to 1991.
A Rhodes Scholar, he was ACTU Resident Officer from 1958 to 1969 and then served as President of the ACTU from 1970 to 1980.
Mr Hawke was made a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in 1979. He is an Honorary Fellow at University College, Oxford and holds honorary degrees from the University of South Australia, Nanjing University of China, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of New South Wales.
Since leaving political life he has held visiting professorial positions in several academic institutions and has been active in a wide range of community projects. Mr Hawke currently works as a business consultant.

Michael Hickinbotham, a graduate in Economics and Law, is Managing Director of the Hickinbotham Group, one of South Australia’s most diversified groups, spanning construction, land development, commercial property, water trading, environmental projects, viticulture and wine.
Before joining the Hickinbotham Group in 1993, Michael practiced commercial law in the Melbourne office of national law firm Blake Dawson Waldron.
Michael is Chairman of the Australian Population Institute of Australia (SA), a South Australian Population Ambassador, a member of the Economic Development Board, an executive member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA) and a former board member of Family Business Australia (SA).
Michael was Deputy Chairman of the Planning & Development Review Steering Committee, which reviewed the South Australian planning system for the State Government with the objective of making it the most efficient and effective in Australia, and is now Deputy Chairman of the Implementation Committee.
Michael was awarded a Centenary Medal for service to the Australian building industry and the community.

Dr Michael Keating AC, is a member of the board of Skills Australia and the South Australian Training and Skills Commission.
Until recently Dr. Keating was Chairman of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal in NSW, and a Visiting Fellow in the Economics Program in the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University.
Previously, Dr Keating was Secretary of the federal departments of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Finance, Employment and Industrial Relations. He has also been a director of Australia Post and Fujitsu Australia.
Dr Keating has published widely in the fields of various economics, public sector management reform and employment.
Dr Keating continues to provide advice to Governments in Australia and overseas.

Dr Leanna Read is a founder of Adelaide biotechnology company, TGR BioSciences, and has been CEO and Managing Director since the Company’s incorporation in June 2001. She is also a member of BioAngels, an Adelaide-based Angel investor network. Dr Read is a physiologist by training with over 90 scientific papers and is an inventor on two patents in-licensed by TGR. She has led successful research and commercial ventures, including the CRC for Tissue Growth and Repair, widely considered to be one of the most successful commercially focused CRCs.
Dr Read's industry contributions have been recognised by appointment to federal boards including the Prime Minister’s Science, Engineering and Innovation Council, the Industry R&D Board and the Future Manufacturing Industry Innovation Council. She is a current and longstanding member of the SA Premier’s Science and Research Council.
A Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, Dr Read has received a number of awards, including the inaugural Biotechnology Industry Service Award by the Australian Biotechnology Association (now AusBiotech); a Centenary Medal for services to the Industry R&D Board; the 2006 SA Premier’s Award for Science, Technology and Innovation Management Excellence; and the 2006 South Australian of the Year in the category of Science and Technology.

Mr Darren Thomas is the CEO of T&R Pastoral (Privately held company).
T&R Pastoral is Australia’s largest sole family owned business and was recently listed No. 11 in the In-Business’ Top 100 company list based on revenue.
Turning over more than 800 million dollars a year, the company provides jobs for more than 1500 people at its Murray Bridge and Lobethal sites, with the capacity to process 13,500 mutton and lambs a day and 1,000 cattle a day.
The company supplies upwards of 75 countries from Russia to North America, the Middle East and Europe with a wide range of chilled beef, lamb and mutton products. It also is a global supplier of meat co-products such as offal, hides, skins and blood meal.
Mr Jim Hallion is the Chief Executive of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, commencing this role on 23 May 2011.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Hallion was Chief Executive of the Department for Transport, Energy & Infrastructure. The department was responsible for the provision of South Australia's public transport, road and maritime systems, road and rail regulation, energy policy and regulation, building management, land services, Government ICT services, and infrastructure planning.
He is currently a member of the Infrastructure Australia Council, Chair of the ICT Board and Senior Management Council and member of the PPP steering committee for the new Royal Adelaide Hospital. Mr Hallion was former Chair of the Australian Maritime Group and National Rail Safety Regulation Project Board and former member of the Australian Logistics Council, Australian Road Forum, Standing Committee on Transport and Transport Agencies Chief Executives Forum.
Mr Hallion was awarded a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Mr Worrall is Deputy Chief Executive of the newly formed Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy. Prior to this he held the position of Chief Executive of the Department of Trade and Economic Development.
Mr Worrall holds a Masters Degree for a thesis in politics and political economy from the University of Adelaide. Previously he was Chief Executive of the Public Sector Performance Commission, where he worked principally on development of high performance cultures and systems in public sector agencies, effective leadership, and nurturing of collaborative modes of leadership and problem solving through cross-agency action teams.
Prior to this, Mr Worrall was Economic Adviser to the then Leader of the Opposition, Hon Mike Rann MP (1994-2002), and then became Premier Rann's Principal Policy Adviser (2002-2008). In this role he worked on major successful economic development projects (e.g. in defence and minerals and resources), and has worked closely with the Economic Development Board since its inception.
Mr Worrall has also been a key designer and driver of South Australia's Strategic Plan.
